In the 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, Dabang Delhi KC faced Gujarat Giants at the SDAT Multi‑Purpose Indoor Stadium on Friday, emerging victorious with a 39‑33 win. Even without their star raid, Ashu Malik, Dabang Delhi found a hero in Akshit Dhull, who came off the bench to score a Super 10 and seal the game.
The match kicked off quickly. Rakesh and Neeraj Narwal opened the scoring for their teams, followed by tackles from Surjeet Singh and Mohammadreza Shadloui. Gujarat’s Rohit Nandal and Lucky Sharma added points early, but Ajinkya Pawar answered with a Super Raid that tied the score at 9‑9.
Dabang Delhi gained an early advantage when Neeraj Narwal executed the first All‑Out of the game, putting the Giants back on the defensive. The table‑top team then widened the lead to nine points, though Gujarat rebounded with a Super Tackle by Visvanth. By the first half’s end, Dabang Delhi was ahead 21‑14, thanks to Neeraj Narwal, Ajinkya Pawar, and Surjeet Singh’s strong performances.
In the second half, Gujarat started strong with a Super Tackle from Himanshu Jaglan. After a brief rally, Shadloui’s two Super Tackles cut the gap to three points. A tackle by Fazel Atrachali gave Dabang Delhi breathing room, but Jaglan’s play levelled the score with eight minutes left.
The finish was tight. Akshit Dhull’s two raid points kept Dabang Delhi in front, and his powerful Super Raid pushed the margin to 34‑29 with under two minutes remaining. Himanshu Singh tried to spark a comeback, yet Dhull stole the spotlight, ending the match with another Super Raid. His Super 10 capped Dabang Delhi’s 39‑33 win over Gujarat Giants.
The win showcases the excitement of the Pro Kabaddi League and highlights Akshit Dhull’s emergence as a playmaker for Dabang Delhi KC.
