Dabang Delhi KC Dominates Bengal Warriorz in Thrilling Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 Clash
Dabang Delhi KC grabbed the top spot in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 standings with a solid 45-34 victory over Bengal Warriorz on Tuesday night at the Vishwanath Sport Club in Visakhapatnam. Star raider Ashu Malik stole the show with 16 points, while Ajinkya Pawar shone all around the mat. This win marks their fourth straight triumph, keeping their PKL campaign on fire.
The match kicked off with a surprise: Neeraj Narwal led the raid for Dabang Delhi instead of Ashu. He wasted no time, pulling off a multi-point raid that sent Parteek and Mayur Kadam packing. Ashu soon joined in, dismissing Parteek again to give Delhi an early edge.
Bengal Warriorz fought back hard through young star Devank Dalal, who tackled Surjeet Singh twice to level things up. Ajinkya then turned hero with a Super Raid, taking out Parteek, Ashish Malik, and Vishwas S. Devank kept shining with two more raids, making it a nail-biter at 10-9 during the first time-out.
Scores tied up when Devank raided Saurabh Nandal, but Ajinkya switched to defense mode for a Super Tackle on the Warriorz skipper. Fazel Atrachali, the Iranian defender, added his first point with an ankle hold on Vishwas S. In a do-or-die moment, Ajinkya raided again, nabbing Nitesh Kumar and Parteek to trigger an ALL OUT just four minutes into the half. That gave Delhi a commanding 10-point lead, though Devank trimmed it to nine by tackling Surjeet once more. The first half ended 23-14 in Delhi’s favor.
Devank kept the pressure on, completing his fourth straight Super 10 in PKL Season 12 with another touch on Surjeet. But the veteran defender finally got him down. Ashu Malik matched the feat, hitting his own fourth consecutive Super 10 by touching Ashish.
As Bengal tried to claw back, Delhi’s defense stepped up with a Super Tackle on Devank, followed by Neeraj’s Super Raid that pushed the lead to 11 points. Ajinkya added his third tackle point right before the second time-out, with the score at 34-22.
Delhi sealed the deal with a second ALL OUT on Warriorz after an error and Ashu’s touch point, stretching the lead to 15. Parteek grabbed a tackle on Ajinkya for Bengal, but Delhi’s defenders hit back by trapping Manprit Pardeep next. Ashu wrapped it up with a spectacular high-flying raid in the final do-or-die, clinching the 11-point win.
With Ashu leading raids and the defense adding 11 points, Dabang Delhi KC—the Season 8 PKL champions—delivered a complete team performance. This Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 result boosts their title hopes, while Bengal Warriorz look to bounce back in their next match.
