Thrilling Southern Derby: Bengaluru Bulls Edge Out Telugu Titans in Last-Second Super Raid

In a nail-biting clash at Jaipur’s SMS Indoor Stadium, the Bengaluru Bulls pulled off an incredible comeback against the Telugu Titans in the Pro Kabaddi League. Ganesha Hanamantagol became the hero of the night with a stunning Super Raid in the final seconds, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and securing a fourth straight win for his team.

Ganesha stepped up big time from the bench, scoring seven crucial points to support Alireza Mirzaian’s explosive Super 10. This win propelled the Bulls above the Titans to fourth spot on the points table, keeping their Season 11 playoff hopes alive.

The match kicked off cautiously, with both teams trading blows in the first 10 minutes. Akash Shinde and Bharat fired off early raids for the Bulls, building momentum, while Deepak Sankar and Yogesh nailed key tackles to hold the Titans at bay. Avi Duhan and Shubham Shinde’s solid defense kept things tight for the Titans, but Akash’s aggressive style and Satyappa Matti’s timely stop gave the Bulls a slim 6-5 lead. Fans could sense a real thriller brewing.

Things heated up in the second quarter as the Telugu Titans unleashed an aggressive surge. Vijay Malik changed the game with a multi-point raid, taking out Deepak Sankar and Ganesha. Bharat followed with sharp raids, and defenders Ajit Pawar and Ankit locked down the Bulls’ attackers. The Bulls fought back hard, but the Titans’ punches landed stronger—Bharat’s quick successes and Vijay’s raiding flair pushed them ahead. By halftime, the Titans led 14-11, setting the stage for an intense second half in this Southern Derby showdown.

Right after the break, the Titans struck first with an all-out on the Bulls. Shubham Shinde tackled Pankaj, and skipper Vijay followed by downing Deepak. Vijay then dominated with three straight successful raids before Yogesh stopped him. Alireza Mirzaian tried to rally the Bulls with his own multi-point raids, and Ganesha chipped in, but Bharat kept the pressure on by picking off Yogesh and Satyappa. With 10 minutes to go in the third quarter, the Titans held a 24-19 advantage, looking set to cruise to victory.

But the Bulls weren’t giving up. With seven minutes left, Ajit Pawar picked up a yellow card after Alireza’s brilliant raid, sparking a Bulls revival. The Iranian star then tagged Sagar in the next raid, leaving only Vijay on the mat. Sahil Rane tackled the Titans skipper, narrowing the gap to one point. Alireza leveled the scores at 27-27 with another raid, igniting the crowd.

The lead flipped back and forth in the dying minutes. Bharat hit his Super 10 to put the Titans ahead, but Alireza responded with his own Super 10 via a multi-point raid, giving the Bulls the edge. Bharat clawed back with a bonus point for the Titans, but in the match’s final raid, Ganesha delivered the Super Raid of the season—wrestling control in the last seconds to seal the win for Bengaluru Bulls.

What a way to end the Southern Derby! This Pro Kabaddi League thriller showcased non-stop action, with standout performances from raiders and defenders keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. The Bulls’ resilience has them buzzing, while the Titans will regroup for their next challenge.
