PKL 12: Bharat’s Super 10, Shubham’s High Five powers Telugu Titans to fourth consecutive win

In Chennai this Sunday night, the Telugu Titans edged the UP Yoddhas 40‑35 at the SDAT Multi‑Purpose Indoor Stadium. The match was a tightly contested battle that saw the Titans capture their fourth straight win in the Pro Kabbadi League (PKL).

Bharat Hooda led the charge for the Titans, snatching a Super 10 in the game and keeping his season tally at a perfect 100 raid points. Shubham Shinde delivered a High Five, while captain Vijay Malik matched Hooda’s Super 10, adding six points for the team. Praful Zaware, the team’s fourth‑man, stepped up in the final minutes, scoring a crucial four‑point cameo that helped seal the victory.

Against them, the UP Yoddhas were powered by Bhavani Rajput, who posted a career‑best Super 10 with 16 points. Guman Singh added eight points, and Gagan Gowda chipped in early, but the Yoddhas could not overcome the Titans’ momentum. Their best moment came when Rajput capped a Do‑Or‑Die raid to bring the score within three, but the Titans’ defense held firm.

The game started fast, with both teams trading raids and tackles. Early in the match, the Titans built a five‑point lead thanks to a Super Tackle from Chetan Sahu, followed by another major tackle by Shinde. Hooda kept the pressure on, expanding the edge to nine points. The Yoddhas fought back with an All‑Out to cut the lead to two, but Hooda answered with a Do‑Or‑Die raid that pushed the advantage to six.

Halftime saw the Titans up 22‑16, with Hooda and Malik each scoring ten in the first period. In the second half, Rajput finished his Super 10, and both teams kept trading hits. The Titans’ Ajit Pawar made a key tackle, and Hooda again delivered a Super 10, tightening their hold.

Down to the last ten minutes, the Yoddhas threatened again, with Rajput and Gowda keeping the gap small. But the Titans’ Shinde remembered his game‑changing tackles, staying three points ahead with less than three minutes left. Zaware’s late four points and Hooda’s final raid sealed the 40‑35 win.

With this win, the Telugu Titans remain a strong force in PKL, while the UP Yoddhas showed they can keep a game close. The match lived up to expectations, delivering high‑scoring action and plenty of dramatic moments for fans.
