New Delhi, Oct 18 – Jaipur Pink Panthers look brighter after a strong win on Friday. In a 42‑29 victory over UP Yoddhas at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium, head coach Narender Redhu said the team’s energy jumped back with the return of star raider Nitin Kumar.
Kumar, who had missed a stretch of games because of injury, hit an impressive eighth Super 10 of the season. “We’re happy to have Nitin back,” Redhu told reporters. “His presence boosts our defence and offence. We missed him in the last few matches, and the team has been waiting for his return.” He added that the Panthers had been careful to let him recover fully before pulling him back into the squad.
When Nitin wasn’t available, team captain Ali Samadi stepped up. Redhu praised Samadi for taking on the raiding load alone and highlighted his recent performance, noting that the two raiders now gel well together. “It was a brilliant team effort,” Redhu said. “The combination between Ali and Nitin was top‑notch, and Parvinder also contributed to the win.”
Kumar echoed the spirit of the team. “Kabaddi is a team sport,” he said. “Everyone has to give their best. Ali’s performance this season is sensational, and he steps up whenever we need support.” The raider added that he plans to keep playing with this momentum into the match against Bengal Warriorz coming up next. “We’ll tackle each opponent one game at a time,” he said.
The Panthers’ next test is facing Bengal Warriorz. Senior predator Devank Dalal – who has scored five 20‑plus point games this season – will be the target. “We’ll stop Devank as much as possible,” Aryan Kumar, a Panther’s co‑player, said. “He’s the main raider for Bengal, so we’ll follow the coach’s plans and tighten our defence whenever he’s on the mat.”
Beyond Jaipur, PKL Season 12 is heating up. Within the top‑four battle, Bengaluru Bulls are set to face Dabang Delhi in a high‑pressure first game of the day. Young talents Alireza Mirzaian and Deepak Sankar will try to outgun Dabang’s veteran duo Ashu Malik and Fazel Atrachali. Meanwhile, Telugu Titans, who have lost two games after a strong run, will look to rebound against Puneri Paltan. Ex‑International rally speakers Vijay Malik and Bharat Hooda will lead the charge, hoping to restore the Titans’ form.
As the season progresses, Jaipur Pink Panthers are intent on building momentum and finishing strong. With Nitin Kumar’s return, Ali Samadi’s adaptability, and a clear strategy for neutralising Bengal’s star raider, the team is ready for the next chapter of PKL Season 12.
