New Delhi – Puneri Paltan stayed on top of the Pro Kabaddi League in Season 12 with a decisive 57‑33 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium. The victory made Puneri Paltan the highest‑scoring team of the season and gave them a clear edge in the playoff race.
The match was a showcase of open‑box play. Puneri’s playmaker Gaurav Khatri delivered a “High‑Five” and was backed up by Vaibhav Rabade, who chipped in with plenty of tackles. Pankaj Mohite added nine points, while Aslam Inamdar scored six. Their teammates kept the momentum, helping Puneri take an early 4‑0 lead and widen it to 14‑4 within the first ten minutes.
Jaipur tried to claw back, with Ali Samadi scoring his first Super 10 and Vinay adding eight points. Samadi’s confidence gave Jaipur a first All‑Out, and the gap shrank to five points. A Super Tackle from Aashish Kumar late in the first half kept Jaipur close, but they couldn’t drive the score lower.
Puneri started the second half with the same intensity. Mohd Amaan’s tackle forced a second All‑Out, and Puneri pushed the lead to 38‑24. Gaurav and Aditya Shinde kept the pressure on, while Vaibhav added a couple more stops, turning the game into a routine. Jaipur’s Vinay and Ali Samadi kept fighting, but they fell short.
In the end, Gaurav Khatri wrapped up the match with a Super Raid, sealing a 57‑33 win. The 24‑point margin is the biggest side‑by‑side win in Season 12 so far, and Puneri now enjoys a top‑two spot in the league table.
This win cements Puneri Paltan’s reputation as a dominant force in the Pro Kabaddi League, while Jaipur Pink Panthers will look to regroup ahead of their next outing.
