PM Modi’s 75th Birthday Sparks Women’s Health Drive in Mumbai
Mumbai got a special boost on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday as Union Minister Piyush Goyal kicked off the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign. This nationwide push for women’s health and empowerment started at Rawalpada Polyclinic in Dahisar East, focusing on better maternal care and family strength.
PM Modi himself joined the launch virtually from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. In a video message, he stressed how crucial women’s well-being is for the nation. He encouraged women everywhere to join free health check-ups at medical camps popping up across India, making it easier for them to stay healthy.
The Mumbai event drew a big crowd, including BJP MLA Manisha Chaudhary, BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, and top leaders. Many women beneficiaries showed up, excited about the new support. Organizers handed out nutrition kits to pregnant women right there, packed with essentials to help during pregnancy and early motherhood.
After the launch, Piyush Goyal chatted with reporters, sharing warm birthday wishes for PM Modi. "We all wish him a long, healthy life so he can keep serving India’s 140 crore people," Goyal said. He praised Modi’s 50 years of selfless public service, always putting the country first.
Goyal highlighted the massive scale of the birthday celebrations. "Over 100 service projects are rolling out in North Mumbai alone," he explained. From healthcare drives and cleanliness campaigns to medical camps in every ward, the action is everywhere. He even mentioned a fresh initiative called the Standard Club for schools and colleges, teaching kids about quality and safety standards.
In slum areas, special medical camps are setting up to reach those who need it most. Goyal added, "We’re starting a new program with kits for pregnant women—full of nutrition for the first three to four months of pregnancy and beyond, even after the baby arrives."
Hygiene got a spotlight too. Goyal shared how their community is giving sanitary pads to girls in municipal schools, and this drive is expanding to all Mumbai schools to promote women’s health and period care.
Manisha Chaudhary, who attended the event, echoed the excitement. "The whole country is hosting health camps today, zeroing in on women’s wellness to celebrate PM Modi’s birthday," she said. She noted that teams are giving out 20 kg maternity kits to pregnant women, with extra attention to those who are undernourished. All this falls under the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ banner, aiming to build stronger, healthier families.
This campaign is part of a bigger wave of initiatives marking the occasion, blending birthday cheer with real community support for women’s empowerment in India.
