In Hyderabad on Wednesday, the Mumbai Meteors topped the field by beating the Bengaluru Torpedoes in the Prime Volleyball League 2025. The match finished 15‑13, 15‑13, 18‑20, 15‑10, and the win puts Mumbai at the top of the points table. Shubham Chaudhary earned Player‑of‑the‑Match honors with a standout performance.

Meanwhile, on the golf front, the 11‑time Asian Tour champion finds himself in a three‑way tie for first place. He shares the lead with Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent and Australia’s Wade Ormsby. They head into the final round of the Jakarta International Championship, which is the fifth of nine major Asian Tour events that feed into the LIV Golf rankings.

In the final round, Bhullar stumbled and fell to 19th place after shooting four over par, while Ormsby, the 2023 Thailand champion, edged out Vincent, the International Series Morocco winner. The result puts Vincent at the top of the rankings and gives him pole‑position for next season’s LIV Golf spot. Ormsby moves up to third, and Bhullar now sits 35th, needing strong finishes as the series ramps up for a high‑stakes finale.

“I’ve had an excellent year,” the player said. “I hit the ball well and stay consistent. I led most of the Jakarta tournament, but Wade played brilliantly in the final stretch. I’ve been working hard on my mental game through visualising, meditating, and staying focused both mentally and physically.”

The competition field is stacked with stars, including former world No. 1 Dustin Johnson, major champions Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel, and Louis Oosthuizen, plus 11 other LIV Golf players. “The goal stays the same – 72 holes, more birdies, fewer bogeys,” he added. “It’s great to see such a strong field; it supports the International Series mission and boosts golf’s growth in Asia.”

Other Indian golfers taking part this week include Rayhan Thomas, SSP Chawrasia, Ajeetesh Sandhu, and Karandeep Khochhar.
