Marcus Rashford is loving life at Barcelona after a tough time at Manchester United. The English star winger, on loan from the Premier League giants, thanked the Spanish club and coach Hansi Flick for helping him rediscover his form. Rashford shone in Barcelona’s thrilling 2-1 win over Newcastle United in the UEFA Champions League, scoring twice to turn the game around.

In the 58th minute, Rashford powered home a header to give Barcelona the lead. Just nine minutes later, he unleashed a stunning long-range shot to make it 2-0. Newcastle fought back hard and pulled one back through Anthony Gordon in the 90th minute, but it wasn’t enough for a comeback. Interestingly, Rashford’s brace matched the total goals Manchester United’s entire team has scored in their first four Premier League matches this season.

“I’m learning a lot here—it’s a new style of football, but it’s making me a better player,” Rashford told TNT Sports, as quoted by Sky Sports. “Honestly, it’s an amazing experience. I’ve always been a huge admirer of Barcelona. Every player my age watched them play; it’s amazing football.”

Rashford also praised Flick’s impact. “He’s very important. I feel the confidence he’s given me. I knew he was a top manager before I arrived, but working with him is a pleasure. I hope our good relationship continues for the rest of the season.”

The 27-year-old dreams of winning the Champions League with Barcelona—their first title since 2015. “For sure, everybody dreams of winning the Champions League. Now I’m at Barcelona, the dream is with Barcelona. I hope we can win the tournament; there’s some very good confidence. Hopefully, we can go game by game and keep improving as a team,” he said.

Looking ahead, Rashford wants to stay long-term after his loan ends this season. “As many seasons as possible. We’ll see. I have to focus on doing my job and helping the team in whatever way I can,” he added. Fans are excited to see if Rashford can help Barcelona reclaim their glory in La Liga and Europe.
