Rohit, Rahul undergo skills and strength training at BCCI CoE ahead of upcoming season

India’s cricket stars Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are ramping up their game ahead of a busy season. The duo recently hit the nets at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, mixing skills drills and strength workouts to stay sharp.
The BCCI shared a video of their intense sessions on social media Sunday, highlighting how the players tackled various conditions at the center. “As part of their preparation for the upcoming assignments, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul trained at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, focusing on skills and strength training,” the board posted.
KL Rahul gears up for his first competitive match since the England Test series, where he smashed 532 runs at an average of 53, including two centuries and two fifties. He’ll feature in India A’s second multi-day game against Australia A, starting September 23 at Lucknow’s BRSABV Ekana Stadium. Pace bowler Mohammed Siraj joins him in the squad.
Looking further ahead, Rahul expects to open the batting with Yashasvi Jaiswal in India’s two-Test series against West Indies. The first clash runs October 2-6 in Ahmedabad, followed by the second October 10-14 in New Delhi. Both Tests count toward the ICC World Test Championship cycle.
Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, prepares to lead India in the ODI series during their white-ball tour of Australia. The action kicks off October 19 at Perth Stadium, then heads to Adelaide Oval on October 23 and Sydney Cricket Ground on October 25.
Fans can’t wait to see these key players in action as India eyes strong performances across formats.
