Tim Oudenaller steps in as the head coach for the men’s squad, while Sofie Gierts takes the helm for the women’s team. Padma Bhushan awardee PR Sreejesh, who serves as Director of Hockey at SG Pipers, couldn’t be more excited. "Picking Tim and Sofie is the smartest move for us," he said. "They’ve led top European clubs to victory and know how to blend players from diverse backgrounds. Their deep knowledge of club and international hockey will create the perfect vibe for success."

Tim Oudenaller, a Dutch coaching star, brings his winning formula from leading Kampong in the Dutch Hoofdklasse league. Famous for building united teams that deliver results, he’s one of Europe’s top minds in hockey coaching. Looking forward to India, Tim shared, "I grew up watching India’s hockey dominance. As a young coach, jumping into this amazing league feels right. SG Pipers matches my ambition—we’ve got a balanced squad ready to chase the title."

On the women’s side, Sofie Gierts stands out as a hockey pioneer. This Belgian coach has a direct, engaging style and sharp communication skills. She’s a trailblazer, having coached a men’s team in Belgium’s top division at Royal Uccle and winning a national women’s title with Royal Antwerp. As a former player, she earned 140 caps for Belgium’s Red Panthers. Thrilled about her new chapter, Sofie said, "Joining SG Pipers is an honor. This league celebrates talent and hockey’s global energy. I’m pumped to empower women athletes on this big stage. With our solid team base, we’ll build something special and inspire the hockey world."

Tim and Sofie will guide squads packed with talent. Last season, the teams featured stars like Shamsher Singh, Jacob Whetton, Jarmanpreet Singh, Sangita Kumari, Deepika Sehrawat, and Navneet Kaur, alongside rising stars. This year, they’ll train under the new coaches and Sreejesh’s expert eye, promising dynamic hockey action.
