Sunidhi Chauhan is set to light up the crowd at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final in Navi Mumbai. The famous singer will perform a medley of her biggest hits for India’s showdown with South Africa at the DY Patil Stadium on Sunday.
The show will feature 60 dancers, dazzling fireworks choreographed by Sanjay Shetty, and a laser‑packed stage. Mid‑innings will bring 350 “mast‑cast” performers, drones, and a full‑scale laser display to keep fans on their feet. The production also includes the Indian national anthem sung by Sunidhi herself, while South Africa’s anthem will be performed by Cape Town star Tarynn Bank.
India earned its spot in the final after a dramatic win over Australia, thanks to Jemimah Rodrigues’ match‑winning century. South Africa sealed the other berth by topping the group against England.
“We’re thrilled to perform at the Women’s World Cup,” Sunidhi said. “With India in the final and the stands full of fans, I know the atmosphere will be electric. It’s going to be a day we’ll remember for years.”
At 42, Sunidhi has sold more than 50 million records worldwide and is a staple on India’s music charts. She became a household name early, releasing the hit “Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi” from the film Mast. She first tasted fame on television’s Meri Aawaz Suno, a competition judged by Lata Mangeshkar, which she won.
Sunidhi’s international career has grown steadily. She opened for Coldplay in New York in 2015 and was a 2016 forerunner on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list. In 2023, she launched the world tour “I AM HOME,” starting with a sold‑out show at Coca‑Cola Arena in Dubai and following stops in London, Singapore, Kolkata, and U.S. venues like the Long Beach Convention Center and Hard Rock Live, Hollywood.
