New Delhi, Dec 2 (LatestNewsX) – India’s all‑rounder Sneh Rana paid a visit to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain on Tuesday, offering thanks for the team’s victory at the Women’s World Cup 2025. During a tough group‑stage run in October, the squad had already made a pilgrimage to the shrine, and a month later they lifted the title after defeating South Africa in the final.
Rana recalled that the trip helped her “manifest” the win, and she “completed the circle” by returning to Shree Mahakaleshwar Mandir exactly one month later to thank the gods for their blessings. She posted the moment on X with a picture of her attending the morning aarti, writing, “It’s already been one month. Feels like it passed with a blink of an eye. I manifested this win in his presence. Completed the circle by visiting Shree Mahakaleshwar Mandir exactly after 1 month to thank him for blessing us and fulfilling our wishes.”
In the tournament, Rana took seven wickets across six World Cup matches, playing a pivotal role in India’s campaign. Across her international career she has featured in 44 ODIs, claiming 57 wickets and scoring 380 runs, including a half‑century. In T20Is she has 24 wickets in 29 games, and in four Test matches she has taken 23 wickets, best figures of 8/77, and a top score of 80*.
Looking ahead, Rana is expected to return to action when India host Sri Lanka for a series of five T20Is later this month – the last international assignment before the squad shifts focus to the Women’s Premier League, which begins on Jan 9 and will see her don the Delhi Capitals jersey.
The upcoming WPL will be staged at two venues: the first 11 matches will take place at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, after which the action will move to Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara for the remaining games, including the Eliminator and Final. The final showdown is slated for Feb 5.
