Srishti Kiran, a 13‑year‑old tennis star from Karnataka, is making headlines on the world junior tour. Over the past two weeks in the Dominican Republic, the Bengaluru-born player won three titles—an ITF singles crown in Cabarete and both singles and doubles crowns at the following week’s event.
Kiran’s run was clean: she won every match in straight sets. In the Cabarete semifinal she beat Argentina’s second seed, Milagros Belen Laino, 6‑0, 6‑3, and then knocked out Canada’s seventh seed, Camille Michel, 6‑0, 6‑1 in the final. A week later she paired with Briana Houlgrave of the Bahamas to take the doubles title, besting the British duo of Jessica Morrison and Ava Moss.
Her success follows a strong foundation built in Bengaluru and the RPS Academy in Florida, where she balances intensive training with school work. She first burst onto the scene in August 2023, staying unbeaten while representing India at the ATF U‑12 Girls’ Team Championship Finals.
Srishti says every practice brings her closer to her dream of making India proud on the global stage. She now aims to shine at the Junior Orange Bowl and the IMG Academy International Tennis Championships in Florida later this year, two top junior events where she will face the best players from around the world.
