Taylor Swift skipped the Kansas City Chiefs’ big Sunday Night Football clash against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, leaving fans curious about her whereabouts. Just a week earlier, the pop icon quietly cheered on her fiancé, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, during their home opener at Arrowhead Stadium.
Cameras and the NBC broadcast didn’t spot the 14-time Grammy winner anywhere in the stands. This comes after Swift, 35, slipped into the stadium behind a screen to watch the Chiefs fall to the Philadelphia Eagles, 20-17, in a Super Bowl 2025 rematch. That sneaky entrance fueled plenty of fan speculation, especially since she’s usually more visible at Chiefs games.
Swift and Kelce, who’ve been dating since the summer of 2023, confirmed their engagement last month with a sweet joint Instagram post on August 26. The three-time Super Bowl champion popped the question in the backyard of his Missouri mansion, and he couldn’t stop raving about it during a pregame chat with Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her,” Kelce, also 35, shared.
Even without Swift in the crowd for the Chiefs-Eagles game, their romance stole the spotlight. Now, as the Chiefs hunt for their first win of the season, Kelce is shaking off a tough start. They dropped their opener 27-21 to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil on September 5—a game Swift also missed.
The Giants are in the same boat, still searching for victory after losses to the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys. Both teams desperately need a boost in this matchup.
Swift’s got a packed fall ahead. Her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” hits shelves on October 3, adding to the excitement around the singer’s busy life with Kelce and her music career.
