India ‘A’ pulled off an incredible chase of over 400 runs to secure a five-wicket triumph on the final day. KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan stole the show with stunning centuries under pressure, guiding their side home comfortably.

Rahul remained unbeaten on 176 from 210 balls, while Sudharsan smashed 100 off 172 deliveries. Their partnership turned a tough target of 411 into a manageable one, highlighting the team’s grit on a tricky pitch.

Laxman celebrated the moment on X (formerly Twitter) by sharing a team photo and writing: “Congratulations to the India ‘A’ men’s team on a stunning win in the 2nd Multi-Day game against Australia ‘A’, clinching the series! Coming from behind to chase 400+ in the 4th innings on a challenging wicket is a true testament to the team’s mental strength and resilience. Wishing the team all the best for the upcoming One-Dayers!”

The match started strong for Australia ‘A’, who posted 420 in their first innings thanks to solid knocks from skipper Nathan McSweeney, Jack Edwards, and Todd Murphy. India’s Manav Suthar shone with the ball, claiming 5-107 in 32 overs to keep things tight.

But India ‘A’ struggled in reply, crumbling to 194 all out after Henry Thornton took four wickets for Australia ‘A’. That gave the visitors a 226-run lead.

In the second innings, India’s bowlers fought back, restricting Australia ‘A’ to just 185 more runs. With 411 to chase, Rahul and Sudharsan’s heroics ensured India ‘A’ crossed the line with five wickets in hand, clinching the India A vs Australia A series.

This performance boosts confidence for the young Indian squad as they gear up for upcoming one-day matches.
