Shanaya Kapoor, the rising star from the hit film Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, turned 21 on Sunday in Mumbai. The new actress, who is filming her next drama, chose a quiet celebration with friends and family instead of a big party.
“I don’t like to go OTT with my birthdays,” she told reporters. “I want just a nice dinner with my loved ones—chill vibes, good food, and me enjoying the moment. That’s what makes the day special for me.”
Her dad, actor Sanjay Kapoor, posted a montage of photos showing Shanaya from childhood to the present. He wrote, “Happy birthday @shanayakapoor02. We are so proud of you. Lots of love and happiness. Always keep smiling.” His wife, Maheep Kapoor, chimed in on Instagram, “I love you with my heart and soul @shanayakapoor02. Happy birthday my love. #MyEverything.”
Shanaya’s fresh off the set of Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, where she starred opposite Vikrant Massey, next appears in Tu Yaa Main. The upcoming film, directed by Bejoy Nambiar, will see her share the screen with Adarsh Gourav. Production credits include Colour Yellow, the studio of filmmaker Aanand L.
