After a brief pause in her worldwide “The Lifetimes” tour, the singer jumped on Instagram this Saturday to post a flurry of snaps and clips from a Japanese stop–over. The footage prominently features her partner, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
In one of the shots the two are front‑and‑center, posing side‑by‑side for the camera. A grainy, black‑and‑white video in the carousel shows Perry sampling a local delicacy while Trudeau watches on.
Her caption simply read: “Tokyo times on tour and more”.
Earlier the week, the duo halted the tour to meet the Japanese cabinet’s head, Fumio Kishida, in Tokyo for a midday sit‑down. When Trudeau posted a photo from that meeting on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko. Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your continued commitment to both the international rules‑based order and to a better future for everyone”.
Perry’s outfit that day was a sleek green two‑piece paired with black tights, a turtleneck, and boots. The pair’s first large‑scale public appearance together came in Paris on October 25, 2025, where they walked the streets hand‑in‑hand after celebrating Katy’s birthday.
They had already been photographed together earlier, notably on October 11, when they were caught kissing on the deck of Perry’s yacht off Santa Barbara’s coast. In that image, the star is in a black swimsuit, while Trudeau is shirtless in denim. The clips of them hugging, kissing, and embracing became viral overnight, turning weeks of speculation into what many outlets are describing as a definitive confirmation of their relationship.
