Indore – Australia’s women’s team capped another perfect week at the 2025 ODI World Cup after a 6‑wicket victory over England. Seam‑bowling all‑rounder Annabel Sutherland earned Player of the Match for an unbeaten 98 and a tidy 3‑for‑60.

She stayed at the crease for 112 balls, hitting nine fours and a six, and tied in a 180‑run partnership with Ashleigh Gardner, who also went unbeaten on 104. The Aussie side wrapped up the chase with 57 balls to spare, using a fast outfield to add extra value to runs.

“Batting with Ash was a lot of fun,” Sutherland said. “It feels good to stay in the middle and—once you’re set—if you find a wicket to bat on it’s really nice. The outfield was fast, so we could run. The spinners, especially Alana King’s 1‑for‑20, were spot‑on and took England’s momentum away.”

The win keeps Australia at the top of the points table with 11 points and a perfect record. Next up is a match against South Africa on October 25 at the same venue.
