Man succumbs to injuries in Delhi’s Dilshad garden; Police launches probe

A 24‑year‑old man died after suffering multiple stab wounds in Dilshad Garden, Delhi, police said on October 9. The victim, a salesman from the area, was taken to GTB Hospital where doctors could not save him.

The attack happened in Dear Park on October 8. Two say‑seen assailants are suspected of robbing the man and his 33‑year‑old friend before the shooting. Police at Seemapuri station registered an attempted‑murder case under section 109. After the man died in the hospital, the case was upgraded to murder under section 103.

Delhi Police said investigators discovered that the victim was with his friend at the time of the shooting. They are still looking into how the robbery turned violent.

Earlier this month a separate, tragic incident drew attention in northeast Delhi’s Bhagirathi Vihar. An 18‑year‑old laborer was rushed to GTB Hospital after being attacked in Gali No. 6, only to be declared dead on arrival. Police received a call at 4:54 p.m. from Gokalpuri station and confirmed that two men were suspected in that assault.

Both cases are under active investigation as Delhi police seek to uncover the motives and identify the suspects.
