A 35-year-old woman from Telangana was found dead by hanging in her boyfriend’s rented home in Hyderabad, police said. The incident happened late on September 21 in the Nagole area, and authorities are now investigating what led to her death.
Boda Swaroopa, who hailed from Reddala village in Mahabubabad district, was in a relationship with 24-year-old Banoth Anil Kumar. This romance caused big fights with her husband, according to officials at Nagole police station.
Swaroopa’s husband claims Anil, his father Kishan, and brother Reddy pressured her for a gold chain, but she said no. Just two days before the tragedy, Anil asked her to come to Hyderabad, and she went to see him. On September 21, she even called her husband to say she was with Anil.
That same night, around 11:35 p.m., someone discovered Swaroopa hanging in the bathroom of Anil’s rented house in Nagole. Her husband later identified the body and filed a police complaint, pointing the finger at Anil and his family for her death.
Nagole police have opened a case based on the complaint and are digging deeper into the woman suicide case in Hyderabad. More details should come as the investigation continues.
