
Mumbai, November 7 – Lisa Mishra, the singer‑turned‑actor who shot to fame with songs like “Tareefan” and “The RoyaleS,” is stepping back onto the stage for the first time in 15 years. She will headline the play A Perfect Time To Panic, directed by Akarsh Khurana, and the production makes its debut at Prithvi Theatre on November 11‑12 as part of Mumbai’s top‑tier Prithvi Festival.
“We’re thrilled to bring this sharp, funny, and deeply relatable show to the audience,” Lisa told . “Working with Akarsh and this amazing cast feels like a fresh burst of creativity and heart.” She added that the live theatre energy is “raw and immediate” and that she can’t wait for viewers to feel the connection she’s rediscovering on stage.
The play marks the 90th production of Akvarious Productions. The cast also includes Taaruk Raina, Chaitnya Sharma, and a roster of seasoned performers. Akarsh Khurana, known for directing Netflix’s “Mismatched” and the Oscar‑nominated film “Karwaan,” brings his distinctive storytelling to the stage.
Lisa Mishra first made her mark as a songwriter and vocalist on tracks for DJ Khaled and Chance the Rapper and released her debut album Sorry, I’m Late in May 2024, blending Indian and Western pop. She burst onto film with “Call Me Bae,” and her recent hit “The RoyaleS” starred Bhumi Pednekar, Ishaan Khatter and others.
