Japanese boy band JO1 is making waves with their first-ever visit to India! The popular group, famous for their catchy hits and high-energy performances, is heading to Mumbai to connect with fans and dive into the city’s vibrant culture.

JO1 consists of 11 talented members: Issei Mamehara, Ren Kawashiri, Takumi Kawanishi, Shosei Ohira, Shion Tsurubo, Ruki Shiroiwa, Keigo Sato, Syoya Kimata, Junki Kono, Sukai Kinjo, and Sho Yonashiro. For this quick trip, two fan favorites—Mame and Shosei—will represent the band and soak up Mumbai’s lively vibe.
During their stay, they’ll meet influential figures from India’s entertainment and cultural worlds. This move highlights JO1’s status as global ambassadors for modern Japanese pop music. They’ll also explore Mumbai’s must-see spots like the iconic Gateway of India and the scenic Marine Drive, giving them a taste of the city’s rich heritage.
Formed in 2019 under Lapone Entertainment, JO1 has skyrocketed to fame. Every one of their CDs has topped Japan’s music charts, building a massive fan base worldwide. In 2025, they rocked a world tour across six countries. Earlier this year in April, they made history with their debut Tokyo Dome concert, drawing a whopping 100,000 fans. They even lit up the stage at LA’s Dodger Stadium.
This JO1 India visit marks a big step in their global rise and strengthens the cultural ties between Japan and India.
