These matches will light up the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 30 to October 5, kicking off at 1:30 pm IST each day.
Rajat Patidar, who has one ODI cap for the senior team, steps up to lead India A in the first game. Tilak Varma, with four ODIs under his belt, takes the reins for the second and third matches. Tilak joins after wrapping up his commitments in the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE.
A few key players will miss the opener due to Asia Cup duties, just like Tilak. That includes Harshit Rana, Abhishek Sharma, and Arshdeep Singh—they’ll jump in for the last two games to strengthen the India A squad against Australia A.
The full list of players available for all three matches includes exciting talents like Riyan Parag, Ravi Bishnoi, Yudhvir Singh, Gurjapneet Singh, Ayush Badoni, Vipraj Nigam, Suryansh Shedge, Nishant Sindhu, Prabhsimran Singh, and Abhishek Porel. Adding some buzz, Delhi opener Priyansh Arya, who turned heads with his stellar IPL 2025 performance for Punjab Kings, joins the first match squad along with teammate Simarjeet Singh.
There was talk of senior stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli possibly featuring in these India A 50-over games, but selectors went with in-form youngsters instead. This means fans will catch Rohit and Virat straight in the senior team’s three-match ODI series in Australia, starting October 19 in Perth.
