Patna, Bihar – As Bihar’s state elections loom, former Jehanabad MP Arun Kumar re‑joined the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) and spoke enthusiastically about the party’s future.

During a press session on Saturday, Kumar praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for driving Bihar’s development and called him an honest leader. “I’m very happy to have re‑joined JD(U), and I’ll do everything I can to strengthen the party,” he said.

Kumar’s return follows a period when he openly criticized Nitish Kumar. His reintegration was marked by the presence of JD(U) working president Sanjay Kumar Jha, Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lalan and state unit chief Umesh Kushwaha. Several of his supporters also joined the party that day.

Union minister Rajiv Ranjan welcomed Kumar: “You’ve been with us from the start. You may have drifted away at one point, but we’re glad you’re back. This is your home, and we’ll support you.” He also hinted that Kumar, along with former MP Chandeshwar Chandravanshi, could stir up political energy in the Magadh region.

The 243 Bihar assembly seats will be contested in two phases on Nov. 6 and 11, with results counted on Nov. 14. The vote will pit the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the BJP against the Janata Dal (United) and the INDIA coalition, headed by Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Tejashwi Yadav.

The INDIA bloc also includes the Congress, the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) under Deepankar Bhattacharya, the CPI and CPI‑Marxist, the Vikasheel Insaan Party, and strategist Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj campaign, all eyeing all 243 seats.

The upcoming elections promise a key showdown for Bihar’s future, with JD(U)’s renewed support from figures like Arun Kumar adding fresh dynamics to the race.

  • Former Jahanabad MP Arun Kumar rejoins JDU, vows to strengthen Nitish Kumar’s development agenda

Former Jahanabad MP Arun Kumar rejoins JDU, vows to strengthen Nitish Kumar’s development agenda

In a pivotal moment before Bihar’s November state elections, former Jahanabad MP Arun Kumar returned to the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) after a period of outspoken criticism of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The re‑induction took place on October 11, with JDU working president Sanjay Kumar Jha, union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lalan, and state unit chief Umesh Kushwaha in attendance.

Arun Kumar greeted the crowd in his own words: “I’m happy to join again under Nitish Kumar’s leadership and serve the people of Bihar. Our state is on a path to development, and I assure everyone we will form the government in Bihar.” Several of his supporters also joined the JDU that day, strengthening the party’s base in the Magadh region.

Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lalan welcomed Arun Kumar warmly. He said, “We’ve been with you from the start. You were separated for a time, but now you’re back with us, and we’re excited to have you back in our family. This is your old home—welcome!” Lalan echoed the party’s confidence that Arun Kumar, alongside former MP Chandeshwar Chandravanshi from Jehanabad, would bring a powerful wave across Magadh.

Earlier this week, Lalan announced that the NDA coalition is poised to return to power in Bihar. “The election dates are set, and on November 14, the NDA government—led by Nitish Kumar—will be back in office,” he told reporters. The 243-seat assembly will be elected in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results counted on November 14.

The union minister didn’t hold back on critics. He dismissed repeated claims by Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD that he will become chief minister again. “Everyone can dream, but the people of Bihar have already seen 15 years of governance under his parents,” Lalan said. “They will not be misled again.”

With the election calendar set and the JDU consolidating support around Arun Kumar, the political landscape in Bihar looks more competitive than ever. The coming weeks will show whether the NDA coalition can secure a majority and bring its development agenda to fruition.

  • Sangh works to empower India: RSS

Sangh works to empower India: RSS

In Jaipur, Rajasthan, RSS leader Arun Kumar delivered a powerful speech during Vijayadashami celebrations at Hedgewar Basti in Harmada Nagar on October 2. As the Sah-Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, he turned the festival into a call for deeper reflection on faith, justice, and India’s enduring culture.

Arun Kumar called Vijayadashami more than just a festival—it’s a powerful symbol of belief and righteousness, where truth always triumphs over injustice. He highlighted how Indian culture stands out for its timeless strength. “While many civilizations have faded away, ours keeps rising above challenges,” he said, emphasizing its continuity through history.

The day held extra significance, as it marks the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Arun Kumar praised Gandhi for linking India’s freedom struggle to values like swarajya, swadharma, and swadeshi, dreaming of Ramrajya and self-reliant villages. Shastri, he added, embodied simplicity, honesty, and bold leadership that inspired millions.

With the RSS marking its centenary year, Arun Kumar urged everyone to use this moment for introspection and fresh resolutions. “It’s not just about celebrating—it’s about looking back at our 100-year journey and stepping up for the future,” he told the crowd. He stressed that the Sangh’s goal isn’t self-glory but building a strong, empowered nation.

Drawing from founder Hedgewar’s vision, Arun Kumar explained that the RSS focuses on protecting religion, culture, and society to create a confident, organized community. This, he said, forms the bedrock of a powerful India—going beyond independence to drive real social change.

Looking ahead, he addressed key national challenges and outlined the RSS’s priorities: strengthening family bonds, promoting social harmony, protecting the environment, embracing swadeshi practices, and boosting civic duties. “Even if you can’t join our daily shakhas, weave these values into your life,” he appealed. “That’s the best way to honor the Sangh’s 100th year.” By living these principles, he promised, India could erase inequalities and achieve true progress.

The event buzzed with energy as 90 volunteers showcased impressive displays of group exercises, yoga, and traditional stick-fighting. Around 350 uniformed RSS volunteers, 250 women, and 200 local community members attended, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Jaipur Sanghchalak Chain Singh Rajpurohit and Harmada Sanghchalak Mahavir Saini shared the stage with Arun Kumar. Senior physician Dr. Ashok Jhajharia from SMS Hospital served as the chief guest, adding a touch of community spirit to the Vijayadashami festivities.
