DTC to launch AC bus service to UP’s Baraut by Oct 2: Delhi Minister

Delhi Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh announced exciting news for commuters on Friday: the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is rolling out a brand-new interstate AC bus service from Maharana Pratap ISBT in Kashmiri Gate, Delhi, straight to Baraut in Uttar Pradesh. This launch ties in perfectly with the ongoing Sewa Pakhwada celebrations, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday and running until October 2. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will kick things off, making daily travel easier for students and regular passengers along the Delhi-UP corridor.

Get ready for six daily AC interstate bus services that promise smooth, affordable rides. Starting from Delhi’s Maharana Pratap ISBT, the buses will zip through spots like Khajuri Khas, Bhajan Pura, Loni Bus Station near the UP border, Loni, Mandolla, Khekra, Katha, Baghpat, Goripur, Saroorpur, and Tyodhi before arriving in Baraut. Heading back from Baraut to Delhi? You’ll pass the same key stops in reverse, ensuring hassle-free journeys.

Timings are commuter-friendly too. Morning buses from Delhi to Baraut leave at 4:50 a.m., 5:20 a.m., and 5:50 a.m. From Baraut to Delhi, they depart at 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., and 8:00 a.m. Evenings get a boost with services from Delhi at 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m., and from Baraut at 7:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. The entire Delhi to Baraut route covers about 60 km, and the Delhi government has kept fares pocket-friendly—starting at just Rs 32 and topping out at Rs 125 for the full trip. This means everyone, from daily workers to tourists, can hop on without breaking the bank.

Dr. Singh shared that this is just the beginning. More interstate AC bus routes are coming soon to link Delhi with nearby areas and states, boosting religious tourism and cultural ties. “This new Delhi-Baraut AC bus service isn’t only about better travel—it’s about connecting communities, boosting local economies, and letting people from all walks of life enjoy comfortable rides at low costs,” he added. With these updates, the DTC AC bus network is set to make the Delhi-UP connection even stronger and more accessible.
