Siddharth and Jimmy Shergill’s ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ unveiled at Inaugural Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon

Mumbai, Nov 2 – Netflix has officially launched its new Indian Air Force drama “Operation Safed Sagar” during the inaugural Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 in New Delhi. The marathon, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, drew 12,000 fans, active officers, veterans, and dignitaries, including Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, to celebrate the bravery of the IAF.
The series, produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel‑Good Films with the support of the Indian Air Force, tells the true story of IAF pilots who carried out daring missions during the Kargil War. Starring Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina and Arnav Bhasin, the show highlights courage, teamwork and patriotism on the front line.
When asked about the launch, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh praised the marathon’s turnout and congratulated Netflix. “The IAF fought bravely at the highest points and achieved the Kargil heights with professionalism,” he said.
Netflix India’s Vice‑President of Content, Monika Shergill, added, “Operation Safed Sagar goes beyond the battlefield. It’s a tribute to the courage and friendship that kept our nation safe. We’re grateful to the IAF for their trust and support as we bring this story to the world.”
Filmed extensively on operational IAF bases, “Operation Safed Sagar” will stream worldwide on Netflix in 2026. The launch marks a new chapter in Indian streaming, blending real‑life heroics with engaging storytelling.
