On September 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will head to Bhainsola village in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district. There, he’ll lay the foundation stone for India’s first PM MITRA Park – a Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel hub. To celebrate, India is rolling out its biggest health drive ever – over one lakh health camps from September 17 to October 2. These camps will offer free services like screenings for anaemia, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, and non-communicable illnesses. Expect check-ups for maternal and adolescent health, vaccinations, and nutrition advice too.
Experts from gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, ENT, psychiatry, and more will join in, teaming up with public and private hospitals. Plus, nationwide blood donation camps will run, with easy registration on the e-Raktkosh portal and updates via MyGov.
