Bihar Dy CM Sinha warns SHOs over illegal sand mining; slams Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav

Patna, Dec 11 – Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha delivered a tough message to the police this Thursday, warning that any Station House Officer whose post is crossed by a tractor hauling illegally extracted sand will be suspended on the spot.
He emphasized that the state is taking a zero‑tolerance stance against sand, liquor and land mafias.
Following a briefing with Patna’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Kartikeya Kumar Sharma, and District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S.M., the Deputy CM told the Mining Division to intensify raids across the districts.
Sinha stressed the need for strict accountability, insisting that vehicles moving unregistered sand—particularly those lacking number plates—should be seized immediately.
He urged citizens to aid the crackdown by providing useful tips.
To encourage cooperation, a reward of ₹10,000 will be paid for information that leads to the seizure of a truck, and ₹5,000 for tips that result in the confiscation of a tractor used for illegal mining.
The Deputy Chief Minister also slammed the opposition, focusing on Congress’s Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
He criticized Gandhi’s upcoming trip to Germany, suggesting the opposition is already rattled.
Sinha called both leaders “princes born with a silver spoon,” claiming they remain detached from the needs of ordinary people.
He accused them of preferring luxury overseas vacations to fulfilling their duties in Parliament and the state assembly, labeling it a “politics of entitlement.”
Sinha reaffirmed that the NDA government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is committed to bolstering law and order and to keeping mafia elements out of Bihar.
Referring to recent incidents in Muzaffarpur, he said the state is acting with full vigilance—whether through encounters or bulldozer operations.
Under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for good governance, he assured that no criminal, liquor mafia, sand mafia, or land mafia will escape scrutiny.
