Mumbai: Actor Gulshan Devaiah, known for films like ‘Shaitan’, ‘Hunterrr’, ‘Guns & Gulaabs’, and ‘Dahaad’, recently shared a fun story about meeting Bollywood legend Jackie Shroff. He also revealed a special blessing he received from the veteran actor.
A clip from a podcast with Cyrus Broacha has come back into the spotlight, where Gulshan talks about his first encounter with Jackie Shroff. He said, “I first met him in 2013 when I was hosting the IFFI (International Film Festival of India) closing ceremony. During the Chief Minister’s dinner, I told him, ‘I was really looking forward to introducing myself to you’.”
Gulshan continued, “A year or two later, I met him again at an award show. He greeted me warmly and asked, ‘Do you remember me?’ I said yes. Then he told me, ‘You’re the one who clicked a picture with me that day.’ I couldn’t believe it! That moment made me realize how important small gestures can be. Now, whenever I meet someone new, I just say, ‘We took a picture together,’ and it breaks the ice.”
Gulshan also shared his approach to acting. He believes humor adds a special touch to serious scenes. “If I find a moment to add humor, I take it. It gives the scene more depth and keeps the audience engaged. In a film like ‘Bad Cop’, which is meant to be entertaining, I would include funny moments without straying from the character or story,” he explained.
Thanks to stars like Jackie Shroff and his own creative choices, Gulshan Devaiah continues to charm audiences with his acting and quick wit.
