Actress Rasika Dugal, who plays police officer Neeti Singh in the hit series Delhi Crime 3, talked with in Mumbai about her character’s growth in the new season.
She said Neeti has moved up the ranks and is now an Assistant Commissioner of Police after the series’ lead, Vartika Chaturvedi (played by Shefali Shah), is transferred to Assam.
According to Dugal, Neeti is a “much more confident officer” this season. The role now focuses on working from within the system, confronting idealism versus reality, and making tough personal choices. Dugal added that the character is becoming more independent both at work and in her personal life.
Delhi Crime is known for its realistic portrayal of Delhi’s police force and the emotional depth of its characters. The international streaming drama, now on Netflix, earned the 2021 International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series.
Fans can watch the third season on Netflix starting November 13.
