Takhar Province – Crystal Meth Plot Foiled
- In the north, provincial police detained a smuggler attempting to move crystal meth and chemicals for heroin production into Taluqan, the capital of Takhar.
- The suspect is now in custody for further investigation.
Nimroz Province – Opium Outbreak Arrests
- In the west, forces confiscated 170 kg of opium poppy and arrested two smugglers near the Zaranj‑Delaram highway on November 9.
- This action follows a campaign to dismantle drug trafficking networks and curb poppy cultivation.
Ghazni Province – Car Buried in Opium
- Earlier in the month, police in the east seized 225 kg of opium hidden in secret compartments of a car in Muqar district.
- The driver fled, but investigators are now hunting the owner.
