Haryana: PM Modi to visit Sonipat on October 17

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to Sonipat, Haryana, on October 17 to launch new development projects. The visit is expected to boost the state’s growth agenda and reinforce the “Viksit Bharat – Viksit Haryana” program.

Ahead of the trip, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met with senior officials from various departments in Chandigarh on Friday. He reviewed preparations for the PM’s agenda and issued clear directives. Saini asked that all arrangements—programme scheduling, route planning, security, crowd control and venue upgrades—be completed on time and without causing trouble for the public.

He also inspected the status of projects slated for inauguration or for foundation‑stone laying. The CM stressed that the state’s rapid infrastructure gains, driven by central schemes and state welfare policies, have positioned Haryana as one of India’s leading states for investment and employment.

In a statement, the CM said that Prime Minister Modi’s visit is a source of pride for Haryana and a pivotal moment in the state’s development journey. He added that the combined effort of central and state agencies will strengthen the PM’s commitment to accelerating progress in Haryana.

Senior civil servants—including Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar, and Additional Chief Secretary Sudhir Rajpal—attended the meeting with CM Saini.
