Trump doubles down on calling Gov. Tim Walz ‘retarded’: ‘There’s something wrong with him’
In a recent interview, the former president reaffirmed his disdain for Minnesota’s governor, Tim Walz, insisting that “there’s something wrong with him.” Trump explained that his outrage grew after Walz opened the state to a large influx of Somali migrants, a move the president described with fury on social media. When asked if he still stood behind the harsh remarks, the former leader said, “I think there’s something wrong with him. Absolutely,” and added that he had “something wrong with Walz.”
During the same exchange, the president referenced his earlier claims about the Somali community, saying, “Anybody that would do what he did, anybody that would allow those people into his state and pay billions of dollars out to Somalia. We give billions of dollars to Somalia. It’s not even a country because it doesn’t function like a country. It’s got a name but it doesn’t function like a country.”
Walz’s reaction came in the form of a pointed tweet on X, asking the former president to release the results of his latest medical exam with the call, “Release the MRI results.” He described Trump’s diagnosis during a market‑hour broadcast, and then challenged the president’s own mental state. Trump, in turn, relaxed on the issue, saying he was fine with his medical data being made public if the governor wanted it, adding, “Governor Walz? You mean, the incompetent governor? So, if they want to release it, it’s okay with me to release it.”
