Mumbai Dec 11 (LatestNewsX) – Veteran Bollywood actress Kimi Katkar, who was one of the most beloved faces of the early ’90s, slipped into the spotlight on social media for the first time in many years.
Divya Seth Shah, known from “Dil Dhadakne Do”, posted two lovely photographs featuring the long‑time star. In the first throwback snap, Kimi is seen smiling alongside Divya’s late daughter, Mahika, while the second image captures just the two of them together.
When sharing the pictures, Divya described Kimi as “Maasi” (aunt) and expressed her gratitude for the delicious meals cooked with love, as well as for the steady support Kimi offered both her and her mother during challenging moments. She wrote, “Kimi Maasi Thank You for making Me love Food and cooking Thank you for seeing me and my mom when we needed you too. And for the Mad laughter … Mostly #bff.”
Kimi Katkar stepped away from the film industry in the mid‑1990s, yet she remains one of the most cherished actresses of her generation. She is best remembered for her electric screen chemistry with Amitabh Bachchan in the 1991 Hindi blockbuster “Hum” – especially the iconic dance number “Jumma Chumma De De.”
Her filmography also includes titles such as “Tarzan,” “Vardi,” “Farz Ki Jung,” and “Pataal Bhairavi,” which helped establish her as a household name with a striking on‑screen presence. She married and chose to leave Bollywood to focus on family life at the height of her career.
