Everything we know about the creepy photo Jeffrey Epstein had of a lounging woman on his desk

WASHINGTON – In a chilling new set of images released by members of a U.S. House committee, a photograph that once hung on Jeffrey Epstein’s office desk shows a woman lounging in an odd pose on a couch. The picture is one of several odd artifacts linked to the convicted sex offender that have surfaced in recent photos published on Friday.

The shot, which shows the woman reclined awkwardly, appears in a photo where Epstein is accompanied by former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon at the Upper East Side townhouse that became infamous for his activities.

The photo has no date, but records from a prior Bannon‑Epstein meeting in 2019, for a documentary that never saw the light of day, suggest the moment may have occurred around that time.

A June 2023 photo‑slideshow titled “A creepy photo of a lounging woman that Jeffrey Epstein kept on his personal desk is among several mysterious artifacts of the convicted sex offender’s estate” was circulated by Oversight Democrats. The New York Post credit the images to Oversight Dems.

In August 2018, Page Six reported at least one meeting between Bannon and Epstein on East 71st Street, hinting at a broader network of elite acquaintances.

When the House Oversight Committee published the photos, Democrats supplied just 19 images from more than 95,000 files received from Epstein’s estate. Those 19 photos feature well‑known figures such as President Trump, former President Bill Clinton, director Woody Allen, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and former Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

Some pictures of Trump show him with faces obscured, leading observers to speculate that the women were victims linked to Epstein and his former accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell—though no definitive proof exists. The estate’s legal team requested the redactions before the images were released to Congress.

“As a result of the subpoena issued by the House Oversight Committee, the Epstein Estate provided those photographs on the Committee’s assurance that staff would redact any identifying features of potential victims before public release,” attorney Daniel H. Weiner of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP told the Post. “Where faces are blurred, that has been done by the Committee’s staff.”

In the unsettling desk photograph, the woman’s face is hidden by a small black square.

Some social media users theorized that the image was meant to display the “leverage” Epstein had over the young women he trafficked. Observers noted that the woman appears “passed out” and that she seems roughly the same age as several other alleged victims.

“Another photo on the desk shows a figure resting with their head on Epstein’s shoulder.”

“What a sicko,” one X user posted. “What appears to be an incapacitated young girl passed out on a couch. You have to be pretty confident you won’t be arrested to have such a deplorable picture on your desk.”

Both Democratic and Republican members of the Oversight Committee declined to comment on the disturbing image.

The photo is one of three on Epstein’s desk that show unidentified figures—either with him or by themselves. One shows a figure resting their head on his shoulder.

Other images feature explicit sex‑shop items, including restraints, a so‑called “Jawbreaker Gag,” and a device known as a “P—- Pump.”

“These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world,” Rep. Robert Garcia (D‑Calif.) said. “We will not rest until the American people get the truth. The Department of Justice must release all the files, NOW.”

A spokeswoman for the GOP majority on the panel dismissed the release as a “hoax.” She claimed that Democrats had cherry‑picked photos and redacted selectively to craft a false narrative about President Trump. “We received over 95,000 photos and Democrats released just a handful. Democrats’ hoax against President Trump has been completely debunked,” the GOP rep added. “Nothing in the documents we’ve received shows any wrongdoing. It is shameful Rep. Garcia and Democrats continue to put politics above justice for the survivors.”

The Department of Justice is slated to hand over all federal investigative materials from its more than decade‑long probe of Epstein by December 19, following a congressional resolution that forced the disclosures.

Several of the images had appeared publicly for years, and there is no indication that the people depicted were aware of Epstein’s horrific crimes.

Epstein, who was 66, was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell on August 10, 2019, as he awaited trial on charges of sex trafficking minors as young as 14.
