Huma Qureshi, known for her powerful roles in films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Jolly LLB 2, has once again captured fans’ hearts with her latest social‑media post.
In a playful Instagram Reel, the actress translated popular Gen‑Z slang into the rough‑and‑tumble voice of her character Rani Bharti from the hit TV drama Maharani. She turned terms like “rizz” into “Bhaukaal,” “delulu” into “Ae Budbak ho ka?” and “it’s giving” into “Ae to bahut jakaas hain be.” The video also labeled “main character energy” as “Maharani.”
Responding to the reel, Huma wrote, “When they ask me to talk the Gen‑Z lingo in #Maharani style … do you have better translations? @kangratalkies @sonylivindia.” Fans flooded the comments with praise, calling her translations “lit” and celebrating her seamless switch to the regional dialect.
The season, titled Maharani 4, opened on Sony LIV on Nov. 7 and features a strong ensemble cast, including Shweta Basu Prasad, Vipin Sharma, Vineet Kumar, and others. Directed by Puneet Prakash and created by Subhash Kapoor, the show continues to shine with Huma’s breakout performance as the fearless Rani Bharti.
Speaking about the role, Huma called it the best of her life: “Rani Bharti is a character very close to my heart. I am grateful for the amazing cast and crew who made this experience unforgettable. I’ll always remember it.”
