Manipur Guv urges people to help build a model state of development, harmony & progress

In Imphal, Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla urged everyone to put “Nation First” and join hands in creating a stronger, more harmonious state. Speaking at the launch of the “Nation First @75 Campaign” under the Viksit Bharat and Viksit Manipur vision, he especially called on the youth and women of Manipur to bring their fresh ideas and energy to the table.

The event kicked off several exciting initiatives aimed at boosting development and opportunities in Manipur. Governor Bhalla unveiled five key projects: the GovConnect Manipur Grievance Redressal Portal, efforts to empower the Manipur Milk Union, Migration Support Centres in Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, a Residential Skill Development Program for cabin crew jobs, and four new digital services from the Transport Department.

These steps promise real change for everyday people. Take the Migration Support Centres, for instance—they’ll help skilled youth from Manipur find great jobs in big cities by teaming up with local partners. The cabin crew training program, tied to top airlines, offers top-notch skills and global career paths for young Manipuris. Governor Bhalla even handed out certificates to three trainees, highlighting how this fits India’s push for progress as we mark 75 years of the Republic.

On the tech side, the four new Transport Department portals will make services smoother and more user-friendly, cutting down on hassle for citizens. And GovConnect Manipur? It’s a one-stop portal for voicing grievances, ensuring quicker fixes, more transparency, and better government-citizen chats.

A big highlight was supporting the Manipur Milk Union to lift rural families and improve nutrition. The Governor stressed women’s key role in Manipur’s dairy world and handed over a Rs 5 crore cheque from the National Dairy Development Board. He also inaugurated a 2 KL Bulk Milk Cooling Centre in Kakching, complete with better procurement, farmer training, and fresh dairy products.

Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, these launches sync with the Swasth Nari Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan (SNSPA) campaign, which focuses on women’s health in over 350 facilities from September 17 to October 2. Meanwhile, the Nation First @75 Campaign will drive action in areas like rural growth, environment protection, skill training, fitness drives, entrepreneurship, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Fit India, PMJANMAN, aspirational districts, and Vocal for Local/Make in India. Women’s empowerment gets extra spotlight to match the SNSPA goals.

Governor Bhalla wrapped up by saying these efforts show Manipur’s commitment to putting people first, paving the way for a thriving future.
