To mark the occasion, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its supporters kicked off ‘Sewa Pakhwada’—a two-week drive focused on community service. From blood donation camps and tree-planting initiatives to cleanliness drives, free health check-ups, and handing out aids to the differently-abled, these activities aimed to spread positivity. Food packets reached the needy, while BJP leaders in several states launched special yatras (marches). Prayers echoed in temples, mosques, gurudwaras, and churches, celebrating the day with unity and devotion.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, EU President Ursula von der Leyen, Dominican Republic’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, and Guyana’s President Dr Irfaan Ali were among those who sent their best wishes to PM Modi.
