NJ cop who smashed in ex’s front door seen ranting and cursing at cops who came to arrest her in new video: ‘I just f–king snapped’

In a video that has only just surfaced, a former New Jersey police officer can be heard saying she “f‑king snapped” and threatening that she would “burn your house down next.” The footage shows Rebecca Sayegh, 32, who was banned from law‑enforcement for life after a jealous outburst, screaming at officers as they tried to seize her.

Sayegh, who once worked in Toms River, was confronted by police in April when she was discovered in a frenzied, profanity‑laden rant. In the body‑cam clip, she tells a line‑of‑sight officer that she’s “f‑king snapped” and then launches into a tirade about her ex–boyfriend’s new girlfriend, saying stuff like, “He wants to sit here and have some random f‑king bitch in here with all my belongings” and “[He’s] saying she’s gonna move in and shit — get the f‑k out of here.”

When the officers demanded that she come with them, she refused, shouting, “No, we’re gonna go when I get all my s‑t… give me a second!” She even admitted she’d call a “PBA officer,” meaning a member of the Police Benevolent Association, before one of the officers pulled her into a restraint. She yelped, “What the f‑k are you doing?” as they escorted her out of the driveway. At the same time, she threatened to “burn your house down next, you piece of s‑t.” It was unclear whether she was addressing her ex or the officer in the clip, but the police said she vowed to set her old boyfriend’s house on fire.

Later, after being handcuffed and shoved into a patrol van, Sayegh made a sarcastic comment, “At least my hair’s nice today,” as the arrest was going public. She had already pleaded guilty to the attack that began at roughly 11:20 p.m. on April 25, when she used a baton to break through her ex‑boyfriend’s front door and confront him and his new partner on the premises. The case ended on November 17, when an Ocean County prosecutor announced she would forfeit all future public employment in New Jersey and would be unable to serve again as a law‑enforcement officer.
