In Delhi, the government announced that it will launch nine new technology hubs under its Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP) to give MSMEs the technical training and skill‑up opportunities they need.
The ministry has earmarked ₹200 crore for setting up and running these hubs in the 2025–26 budget. Shobha Karandlaje, the Minister of State for MSMEs, confirmed the approval in a written response to the Lok Sabha.
These centres will join 18 existing hubs that already trained more than 328,000 people—including MSME owners and staff—throughout 2024‑25, she said.
The hubs focus on cutting‑edge fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics and the Internet of Things, adding those modules to both long‑term and short‑term programmes so that MSMEs can keep pace with modern technology.
By offering hands‑on access to advanced manufacturing tools and tailored skill courses, the centres aim to boost the productivity of smaller businesses and give young people, from school leavers to engineering graduates, real‑world training.
They also provide round‑the‑clock technical and commercial advice to MSME founders.
TCSP’s goal is to build a vibrant ecosystem by constructing physical facilities and partnering with top manufacturing technology experts who will strengthen each hub’s capabilities.
Additionally, a unified portal and a central ERP system are being rolled out to streamline all key hub functions and create a one‑stop technology platform for MSMEs.
