Mumbai, Oct 9 – Bollywood star Huma Qureshi is back on the screen as Rani Bharti for the next season of the hit series Maharani 4, set to premiere on Sony LIV on Nov 7. The actress told fans on Instagram that this round is “the boldest and most intense” she’s ever played, promising a fierce new chapter in Rani’s story.
In a short clip posted to her channel, Qureshi called her character the “lioness who returns to defend her home,” while teasing a big battle that will push Rani from local politics to the national stage. “The stakes are national, the power games more brutal,” the actress wrote, inviting viewers to watch the showdown on Sony LIV.
Directed by Puneet Prakash and produced by Kangra Talkies, Maharani 4 also stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Vipin Sharma, Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Shardul Bharadwaj, Kani Kusruti and Pramod Pathak. Created by Subhash Kapoor, the season builds on Rani Bharti’s dramatic rise from an unexpected outsider to a powerful political figure in Bihar, now tackling the toughest battlefield in India.
Huma Qureshi’s film career began with a supporting role in the 2012 crime saga Gangs of Wasseypur. She has since shown her range in movies such as Ek Thi Daayan, Dedh Ishqiya, Badlapur, Highway, Jolly LLB 2 and the Tamil action drama Kaala.
