Louis Tomlinson, former One Direction singer, said in a new interview that he will “forever despise” YouTuber Logan Paul. Tomlinson made the comment after hearing Paul’s 2022 “Impaulsive” interview with his late bandmate Liam Payne, which the singer says ruined his view of the internet star.
In a candid chat with The Independent, Tomlinson slammed the interviewer and called Paul a “horrible, horrible little f‑ker.” He added that some of today’s media “have a duty of care” and that he’s frustrated by the way journalists and influencers handle celebrity drama.

The controversy traces back to Payne’s 30‑minute “Impaulsive” podcast episode with Logan Paul, where Payne talked about how Paul’s background and behavior affected the old pop‑group. Payne called one of the band’s former members “rowdy,” recalled an incident where a musician allegedly threw him against a wall backstage, and complained about the way the group was built around him by Simon Cowell.
Tomlinson also took the step to criticize fellow One Direction member Zayn Malik, saying there are many reasons he dislikes Malik and that his dislike will remain. The remarks drew backlash from fans, and Payne later apologized, admitting he had been “so angry … I took it out on everybody else.” He revealed he’d spent 100 days in rehab.
The group’s 31‑year‑old frontman Liam Payne tragically died in October 2024 after falling from a balcony at the Casa Sur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. His death was linked to severe injuries, alcohol use, and drugs found in his system. The death prompted a memorial outside London that month.
