Gwalior, Dec 5 (LatestNewsX) – At the Gwalior Chambal Tennis Association courts, Roundglass’s Digvijay Pratap Singh knocked out fourth seed Grigoriy Lomakin from Kazakhstan. He won 7‑6, 6‑2 in straight sets and now moves into the semifinals, where he will take on top seed Aryan Shah, who survived a 6‑3, 6‑4 victory over Abhinav Sanjeev Shanmugham.
Meanwhile, fellow Roundglass player Nitin Kumar Sinha fell 4‑6, 4‑6 to Maan Kesharwani in the quarterfinals. Maan will face Rohan Mehra next; Mehra earned his spot after a hard‑won 6‑7, 6‑1, 6‑0 triumph against Raghav Jaisinghani in three sets.
In the doubles draw, the top‑seeded duo of India’s Ishaque Eqbal and Kazakhstan’s Grigoriy Lomakin advanced to the final after a comfortable 6‑4, 6‑4 win over fourth seeds Aryan Lakshmanan and Manish Sureshkumar. They will contest the title against second seeds Aryan Shah and Atharva Sharma, who edged out Aditya Balsekar and Maan Kesharwani 6‑3, 6‑4.
The ten athletes from Roundglass Tennis Academy entered the $15,000‑tournament. Hitesh Chauhan, Digvijay Pratap Singh and Nitin Kumar Sinha played in the main draw, while Arjun Rathi, Shanker Heisnam, Vivaan Bidasaria, Aashravya Mehra, Aditya Mor, Tanussh Ghildyal and Caheer Warik reached the main event through qualifying.
Earlier in the competition, Digvijay Pratap Singh, seeded sixth, captured a straight‑sets win over Makar Krivoshchekov (6‑3, 7‑5) to move into the quarterfinals. Top seed Aryan Shah recorded a composed 6‑2, 6‑4 win against Australia’s Adrian Arcon, and Rohan Mehra defeated fellow Roundglass player Hitesh Chauhan 6‑4, 6‑2 in the second round.
Other notable matches included Maan Kesharwani rallying from a set down to beat Arjun Rathi 3‑6, 6‑4, 6‑2; Kazakhstan’s Grigoriy Lomakin cruising past Sarthak Suden 6‑3, 6‑3; and Raghav Jaisinghani edging Dmitry Bessonov 6‑4, 7‑6.
