Four BJP-ruled states send flood aid to Punjab, Himachal

BJP-led states like Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and Assam step up to help flood-hit neighbors. These governments have sent money and relief supplies to areas battered by heavy rains and devastating floods. It’s a great show of unity across states in tough times.

Let’s break it down. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav quickly sent aid to Chhattisgarh, which has seen severe flooding from excessive rainfall. He shared on X (formerly Twitter), “Floods in many parts of Chhattisgarh have caused huge loss of life and property. As a neighboring state, we must help out.” The Madhya Pradesh government donated Rs 5 crore to Chhattisgarh’s relief fund and shipped essential materials. Yadav added, “Madhya Pradesh stands strong with Chhattisgarh and will offer more support if needed.”

Over in Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Saini made sure relief trucks rolled out from Panchkula to both Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. He posted on X, “In this natural disaster, the BJP team is doing its bit by sending 15 trucks to Punjab and 10 to Himachal Pradesh.” Saini emphasized, “We feel the pain of people in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh just like our own. Natural disasters are unpredictable, but helping out shows real humanity. We’re working hard at government and party levels to get relief to them fast.”

Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined BJP workers to flag off trucks loaded with aid for flood-affected families in Punjab. Just a day before, she announced Rs 5 crore in financial help for Punjab’s flood relief efforts. This quick action highlights Delhi’s commitment to supporting neighboring states during crises.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed deep sympathy for Himachal Pradesh’s flood victims. In an X post, he said, “The devastating floods in Himachal Pradesh have led to immense loss of lives and property. My condolences to the families, and prayers for quick recovery.” On behalf of Assam’s people, he donated Rs 5 crore to Himachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid relief and rebuilding work.

This flood relief assistance from BJP-ruled states shows how governments come together to tackle natural disasters like heavy rains and floods. It brings hope to affected regions and strengthens bonds between states. Stay tuned for more updates on India’s flood situation and relief efforts.
