Major bureaucratic reshuffle in MP, 18 IAS officers transferred

The Madhya Pradesh government is mixing things up in its administration with a fresh round of transfers and postings for 18 IAS officers. This move, announced on September 27 by the General Administration Department, targets stronger district governance and smoother departmental operations. The changes kicked in right away and stay in place until further notice.

Several officers are stepping into new roles as CEOs of district panchayats or additional collectors, which help drive local development and oversight. For instance, Sanjana Jain from the 2016 batch leaves her post as CEO of District Panchayat Satna to become Additional Collector in Maihar. Jagdish Kumar Gome, also 2016 batch and previously with the Culture and Tourism Departments and MP Tourism Board, now heads to CEO of District Panchayat Singrauli.

Har Simranpreet Kaur (2018 batch) shifts from Additional Mission Director at the State Education Centre in Bhopal to CEO of District Panchayat Katni. Anjali Joseph Jonathan (2018 batch), who served as Deputy Secretary in Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment, takes over as CEO of District Panchayat Harda. Sujan Singh Rawat (2018 batch) moves from CEO of District Panchayat Narmadapuram to the same role in Gwalior.

Newer officers are jumping in too. Srishti Deshmukh Gowda (2019 batch), who was waiting for a posting, lands as Additional Collector in Khandwa. Nidhi Singh (2019 batch) goes from Joint Commissioner in Land Records and Settlement in Gwalior to Additional Labour Commissioner in Indore. Himanshu Jain (2020 batch) relocates from CEO of District Panchayat Shivpuri to Narmadapuram, while Sarjana Yadav (2020 batch) steps from Additional Collector in Jabalpur to CEO of District Panchayat Sehore.

Vaishali Jain (2021 batch), formerly Sub-Divisional Officer in Rajgarh, now handles CEO of District Panchayat and Additional Collector duties in Ratlam. Divyanshu Chaudhary (2021 batch) takes on similar dual roles from Sub-Divisional Officer in Mandla to Dindori. Srijan Verma (2021 batch) moves from Sub-Divisional Officer in Singrauli to CEO and Additional Collector in Burhanpur. Archana Kumari (2021 batch) shifts from Sub-Divisional Officer in Shujalpur to those roles in Anuppur, and Shivam Prajapati (2021 batch) goes from Sub-Divisional Officer in Punasa to CEO and Additional Collector in Shahdol.

Soumya Anand (2021 batch) advances from Assistant Collector in Shahdol to CEO and Additional Collector in Sheopur. For the latest batches, Aakip Khan (2023 batch) transfers from Assistant Collector in Mandla to Sub-Divisional Officer in Pipariya, Narmadapuram, and Pankaj Verma (2023 batch) moves from Assistant Collector in Seoni to Sub-Divisional Officer in Punasa, Khandwa.

In a related appointment, IAS officer Sapna Anurag Jain now serves as Additional Director at the Narmada Valley Development Authority in Indore.

Separately, the state rolled out transfers for State Administrative Service (SAS) officers to boost governance across key departments. Shailendra Singh Solanki (2007 batch), CEO of District Panchayat Sidhi, heads to Indore as Additional Director at the Narmada Valley Development Authority. Dr. Ichchhit Gadpale (2008 batch), CEO of District Panchayat Rajgarh, joins the Home Department as Deputy Secretary.

Vijay Raj (2011 batch) leaves CEO of District Panchayat Shivpuri for Additional Commissioner at the Gwalior Municipal Corporation. Shailendra Singh (2011 batch), CEO of District Panchayat Satna, becomes Additional Collector in Maihar. Anupama Chauhan (2006 batch), from CEO of District Panchayat Shajapur, takes Deputy Secretary role in the General Administration Department.

Namah Shivay Arjaria (2012 batch), ex-CEO of District Panchayat Chhatarpur, now acts as State Protocol Officer in Bhopal. Shashwat Singh Meena (2012 batch), from CEO of District Panchayat Mandla, moves to Deputy Secretary in Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion. Anjali Shah (2012 batch), CEO of District Panchayat Seoni, shifts to Additional Collector in Narsinghpur.

These Madhya Pradesh administrative reshuffles aim to inject fresh energy into district-level leadership and key state bodies, ensuring better service delivery for residents.
