Baloch Martyrs’ Day marked globally highlighting Pakistan’s occupation of region

On November 13, Baloch communities around the world marked Baloch Martyrs’ Day—a day to honor those who lost their lives fighting for Balochistan’s rights and dignity.
In Balochistan’s Awaran district, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) staged a ceremony that drew local leaders, activists, and human‑rights defenders. BNM Chairman Naseem Baloch told the crowd that Martyrs’ Day is a chance to remember past sacrifices and to strengthen the mission the living must carry forward. “The martyrs did their duty,” he said. “Now it is our job to keep the movement alive, build stronger institutions, and honor their legacy.” Other BNM officials—Secretary of Information Qazi Dad Muhammad Rehan, Central Committee member Chief Aslam Baloch, Zone President Ustad Mehran, Vice‑President Talar Naz, and Finance Secretary Meerak Baloch—also spoke.
Across the globe, BNM organized commemorations in the Netherlands and Germany. In Amsterdam, a seminar brought together representatives from BNM and the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM). Speakers urged Baloch youth to understand the mission of their martyrs and to promote their national identity at every level. In Berlin, the central BNM event gathered leaders and human‑rights activists from several countries. Chairman Naseem Baloch warned that Pakistan continues to suppress Baloch people: “The state’s violence deepens our yearning for freedom. After the army’s forced occupation in 1948, Balochistan remains under a climate of fear—military camps, watchtowers, enforced disappearances, and reports of mutilated bodies.” He added that the Baloch nation will not bow down.
The global observances highlight the growing human‑rights crisis in Balochistan and the ongoing struggle of the Baloch people to claim freedom and dignity.
