A fresh 911 recording shows a nervous voice from a McDonald’s manager in Pennsylvania saying a possible suspect—Luigi Mangione, the man charged with killing a United Healthcare CEO—might be inside the restaurant.
When the dispatcher asks for the emergency’s location, the manager, trembling and laughing on the line, explains that customers noticed a man who looked like the “CEO shooter” from New York.
She tells the operator that the people in line are upset and that she can’t get close to him. The dispatcher, skeptical, insists it’s not an emergency and asks if the suspect is still present.
The manager confirms Mangione remains on site, describing him in a black sweater, wearing a medical mask and a tan beanie pulled down, revealing only his well‑known, bushy eyebrows. She says he’s by the back of the lobby near the bathroom.
Mangione had allegedly shot the company’s CEO, Brian Thompson, outside an annual investor conference in Midtown New York just over a week ago. Having fled the city, he was caught in Altoona when attentive customers spotted him. He’s now in Manhattan court for a pre‑trial hearing and could face life imprisonment if convicted.
