Bank robber hits two Long Island banks in 48 hours, using stick-up note: cops

A bank robber on Long Island carried out two heists at Flagstar branches just five miles apart in a 48‑hour period, police said.
He first struck on Monday in West Babylon, forcing a teller to hand over cash by holding up a note demanding money. The suspect—a bald man with a beard who wore a dark jacket—took an unspecified sum of cash, fled in a car, and left the scene.

Two days later, the same man, matching the description, entered another Flagstar location in North Babylon. He repeated the same tactic, presenting a robbery note to the teller before walking out with more stolen money and escaping on foot.

Detectives tell The Post that they believe both incidents were committed by the same individual, and the investigation is still underway. No further details have been released about the suspect or the amounts taken. Flagstar Bank representatives have not responded to a request for comment.
