In a recent New York Times podcast her Die My Love tour, Lawrence explained that she used to write an op‑ed after Election Day, telling readers that only “white men” felt safe in America — a powerful statement that drew attention.
When journalists asked whether she plans to defend Trump again, Lawrence replied, “I don’t know if I should.” She reminded critics that celebrity voices rarely sway voters. “I don’t want to fuel the fire that’s splitting the country,” she said. Lawrence also shared that she worries her political views could turn audiences away from her films, which she doesn’t want to jeopardize.
Instead, the actress says she prefers to embed her beliefs in the stories she tells. “I want to protect my craft so people can enjoy my work,” she added. “If I can’t help calm tensions, I don’t want to add to the problem.”

Upcoming projects include Bread and Roses, which follows three Afghan women during the 2021 Taliban offensive, and Zurawski v Texas, a documentary about abortion rights.
